Bumbo vs baby Snug??

Looking to buy bumbo but then came across the Snug at mamas and papas - like t idea of a removable insert and colours are nicer! But don't know anyone who's used one so just wanted to find out if anyone had here...and what they think??

Same question...... my friend has the M&P one and says its great as you can take the insert out and grows with the baby. However, still not sure which one would be best.

The tray on the snug is much easier to fix in place once you have put your baby in the seat. There is another thread on here about the bumbo tray being a total pita!

I have a snug & I probably wouldn't recommend it....
My daughter 6 months can escape now so I'm just about to put it on ebay/gumtree, we've used for about 2 months, it says they last much longer on the box but there's nothing to keep a baby in it!!
I now wish i'd bought one of the little seats that could be fastened to a chair with a seat belt too.
The tray is ok but really easy to pull of for a little one too.... It does look cool though which was why I bought it rather than a bumbo

So after buying the snug, our now 7mo has been able to get out if it since abt a month ago...he's been pulling t tray off it for ages and I'm getting fed up trying to move it about (no handle etc)...really don't see much use going forwards, so short lived....now need a high hair, and thinking to buy t baby bjorn appetite...any thoughts from anyone who's used that would be welcome...

I have the snug and really like it. I used it for my baby to start sitting upright in to play, and then when we first started weaning. He is 8 months now and it's still handy to feed him in when we go away. I chose it over the Bumbo because of the removable insert as a friend had recommended it.

It isn't designed to be used unsupervised or on a high surface so I don't see what the problem is if the child can escape. Mine (11m) can escape from the snug although he doesn't try to take off the tray but if he does get up from it without the tray on, he just crawls off onto the carpet. I am watching him anyway so he isn't going to get hurt. I find it handy and think they are better than bumbos because they last longer and I think the wider base is sturdier. Now that the bumbos have straps I can see why people might prefer them though. It is up to you but do remember they are not designed to be used to leave the baby in out of your sight.

Get the snug. I brought a bumbo and pil brought a snug. Dd can't get her chunky bum in the bumbo but can still fit in the insert bit of the snug. She has never tried to escape because she normally eating

We have a Snug, several friends have a Bumbo, and I would definitely go for the Snug again- we've got on much better with ours than they did their seats. It was great for a couple of months while LO could sort-of sit but not quite, but at 7months we only use it very very occasionally now. Maybe something to see if you can get second hand?

Hi, I'm also looking at whether to buy a bumbo or snug. How long does the bumbo last for? Can you not remove the table from the bumbo seat?
