tripptrapp- alikes - worth it???

Wondering if there are brands that do the same thing as the tripp trapp eg. get close to table/grow with child which are less expensive?? I saw something on EastCoast nursery but couldn't quite tell if it was comparable.

I have a trip trap and a "cheap" version from asda (can't remember th brand though). The cheap one was about £60 all in and although it is clearly not quite as good quality as the trip trap it was well worth the money and does exactly the same job, although I do use just the harness as the equivalent bar is very wide (you can fit small bits of food on it but not a plate) so doesn't quite fit up to the table.

yeah we had the babydan one which i got for £10 on ebay, absolutely no different to the tripp trapp

We had 2, hated them, had to keep repairing them etc.
