Thought you'd like to know - has anyone seen cheaper?

No, but same price but more colours to choose from here, they seem to keep their price fairly low all of the time too.

Just to add worth every penny.

Dd1 approaching 8, ds2 5, both still use theirs.

I used one first time around with just a harness, not a baby set - not sure if they were available then. Just wondering if a harness is really necessary if there is a baby set attached - can toddlers/babies launch themselves out of a tripp trapp - also wondering why the harness is SO EXPENSIVE!

I never had the harness. 'twas fine.

We definitely need a harness for DS. He tries to stand up and launch himself out when having a temper tantrum.

We definately need a harness. My DD has wooden baby set with leather crotch strap and learnt to raise his hands above his head and slither under with both legs through one hole, or to stand up in the seat and merrily clap himself.
Just bought second one for next baby (both have been second hand, incl harnesses and baby sets) and I cant recommend them enough.

We got a TT when DD was 5 months old and was really pleased with it. It is the best value item we bought really as it is still in use now, as a chair, and DD will be 10y in April.

We had the baby kit, but didn't use a harness (reins) as DD never tried to get out of it. We only used the harness til she was about 13/14 months, and then she used it more as a chair - but higher up. No problems whatsoever.

We have used it since with visiting children without the baby set but with reins as a harness and it has been fine.

Our TT is still in fantastic condition. It is very easy to use, really easy to clean and it looks good too - which was important to us then as we lived in an open plan apartment, so it needed to fit in with everythign else which was fairly modern looking.

I know we are not supposed to Troll hunt, but doesn't the title of this make anyone else a little bit [sceptical]?

DS2 is 14 months and we haven't used a harness, we have the new-style moulded plastic babyset, we have moved the footrest down so it's slighty lower than his feet to stop him standing up as easily.
Am interested to see you can buy the D-rings seperately on the site phyllisdiller linked to I wonder if you could then use any harness.
Am definately getting a TrippTrapp for DC4, thinking about the newborn kit too, though it is ££.

Notso- i'd prev tried a two diff harnesses- one 70's hand down, and one from JLewis, neither fitted/worked for me as straps at bottom too short to reach high enough to fit properly. The extra D rings are really handy though as they can split.
(having said that when ours split, and when I realised it was meant to have a crotchstrap for safety and didnt, I emailed Stokke to enquire and they sent extras out without hesitation or cost!) v impressed!

P.S- what the heck is a troll?? I didnt understand that comment!!

A troll is poster who pretends to be someone else and deliberately posts something offensive, attention seeking etc for 'fun' or personal gain. Often when a troll is suspected there are lot's of 'trip trap' posts, (as in the troll from the billy goats gruff).

Wow!!! Really... I'm amazed- why bother joining if thats whatyou're going to do!! I dont know whether to laugh or feel sorry for them... Who on earth has the time. Twisted!!
