Chicco table chair gap food falls through

Hi we were given a chicco clip on table chair and put it up today to find there is a small gap between the chair and the table so food will fall down when baby is feeding?
Has anyone else had this problem with clip on high chairs? Or are we missing something?

Any help most appreciated thanks.

yeah it's just the way it is tbh, they're all the same. as are highchairs that go up to the table,

to be fair though, whatever your baby is sitting in they WILL get food all over the floor.

I have just binned our chicco clip on table chair and replaced it with argos's cheapest plastic high chair with a tray - one of the best decisions I ever made
