How can grandmothers do this?

Right, I am hoping one of you Ladies can shed some light on this!!

I have 2 sons,

ds1 is 10 he has no contact with his father at all, he tried numerous times to contact his grandmother and she has told him she is not interested!

ds2, has never laid eyes on his paternal grandparents, because his grandmother doesn't talk to DP. I don't think this should make a difference especially when she see's dp's other 2 sons regularly...

Ok both ds's have my mum who see's them almost daily, BUT how can a gran do this?

My nan was very family orientated!

I wonder if has to do with their own parents and GP's continuing a pattern? Iam sad 'cos my 1st GD has a very odd mum who had no relationship with my DS (except for the obvious!)

cont..DS was 17 and she was 31(he is a tall musician) she emotionally blackmailed him into sleeping with her and when he got a proper P she stopped me from seeing GD. I send clothes via DS who maintains contact.

cont.. it's very difficult to fight an unstable person to see yr GC, my DS is good in keeping on seeing his DD but on the mum's terms and she is 4and a half now.
