Granny retiring

My mum retired from full time employment last week. This week she has been round every day at some point - helping me out, taking the children out so I can catch up with jobs, been shopping with me and even helped me puree some baby food! She says she is loving spending all this extra time with the grandchildren and she doesn't know how she had time to work. At the moment I`m really liking it especially as my husband works long hours and the extra help is really good.

LeasyJ I am so jealous. How wonderful for you and your mum. I moved away when I was 18 to go to Uni and have never gone back and though I have no regrets I can really see how special it would be for me and my mum to have the sort of contact you have described.
