If this were you at some point in the future, which would you choose?
Two adult children living around 50 miles apart (in a very busy commuter belt of south England.)
Would you (in your 70s, but as a fit and healthy gran!) move to a town in the middle of each, or closer to one.
Bearing in mind one has no in laws around at all to help, the other has many, but the cost of housing closer to the child with no in laws is more expensive (and I'd never want a flat.)
My thinking is that moving equidistant is not right as it's not close enough to either to be hands on, or get help if I need it when I'm older.
