Late last year my 13 year old grandson fell out with his grandson and said he did not want to see us again, because of this his mum said that we could not see my 11 year old granddaughter either (who does want to see us). I tried to speak with my grandson but he confirmed that he did not want to see me either because he felt I took grandads side, from there I received a message from his mum my sons ex gf who said that if I tried to make contact with my grandson again she would take out an injunction, all this has completely broken my heart. My grandson’s birthday is coming up and I don’t know whether to send him a card or not, I was thinking about maybe putting inside that i had some birthday money for him if he wanted to meet up, but I’m not sure on that. If I don’t send a card then would it be ok if I send one with a present to my granddaughter when it’s her birthday. I really don’t know what to do.
