How often do you see your grandchildren?

What's a generally accepted happy frequency for a retired grandparent and a working family?

We are retired, have two grandchildren from son and daughter. We do 2 days childcare for one, so obviously see them then and odd weekend. Other gc we childcare about once a fortnight, with a visit in between. I don't think there's any hard fast rules really. But I think I'd probably expect to see them once a week if they lived nearby?

I see my grand daughter most days but her mum is still young and doing it alone so we are happy to help out as much as possible.

if I go a day or two without seeing them I miss them both - I also try to have my grand daughter over night once a week so her mum can get a rest.

My parents very rarely helped with my children and it was hard work so I want to be very hands on.

I don’t think there is a one size fits all answer and depends how close they live and how involved you would like to be.
