Benefits of 60?

So my DH is 60 this year (I have a few years but close behind). We are of the generation where pension won’t be paid till 67. But DH has received a letter saying he will be entitled to free NHS prescriptions from 60.

And I see he can also apply for a train travel card (if he ever leaves his car).

Anything other benefits we can look forward to make up for hair, teeth and other bits falling out?

Reduced entry fees in lots of places for pensioners.

But pensioners or just 60? I expected the freebies to come later. Don’t feel like a pensioner if not actually drawing a pension.

Free prescriptions , good for the likes of me who used to pay for quite a few! But nothing else, I had a good look around

Free annual (I think) eye test. Free prescriptions (as others have posted)

Over 60s can get 10% discount on their shopping at Iceland on Tuesdays. See Iceland website for details.
