My daughter in law keeps complaining that we don’t take any interest in my grandchild or my son. I contact my son every week to make sure everything. She claims her and her mum talk every day. He very rarely contacts me.She takes my granddaughter to visit her parents at least once a week they never visit us or any of my family. I work during the week so I am only available at the weekends but they are always busy. What can I do to get her understand that I am not ignoring them but they are making it difficult for me to see her

I don't think sons contact their mothers/parents as often as daughters do.

As your at work in the week and they are busy at the weekend, can you visit one weekday after work for an hour or so?

Have you explained to her that you would like to see the children at the weekend?

We are lucky that we are retired, our duaghter's live fairly near and we look after one of them twice a week and one of them once a week.
