First grandchild on the way

Hi, I'm 44 and have recently found out my first grandchild is on the way!
It's wonderful news, but a little unexpected.
I'd love to connect with any other young grandparents. I am also looking for advice on how is best support my son and his partner with this happy surprise?

I am also a “young” gran to be - I’m 39 (closer to 40 but clinging to my 30s for one last month). My daughter is 17 and navigating pregnancy and becoming a mum on her own with our support.

now the shock has subsided im excited, scared and still a bit nervous for her.

do you have a good relationship with your sons partner.

congratulations, I think we are in for a fun ride and honestly being young grandparents is going to mean we will have brilliant relationships and fun times with our grand babies ❤️
