AIBU about moving to a different state to be with my only grandchild and his parents. I kills me he will have to stay in day care every day while other children get to go home on a bus at 3:30pm. His parents both work, he is 5 and his dad works from home on the computer. Home has one bedroom in which GS would have to stay and be quiet. No friends as of yet. My friends think I should let life be and enjoy my retirement, but my GS is more important to me. I believe the state he is in pays for child care but what about the quality of supervision? My Hub is not to happy about moving but he says, "I'm already there". Anybody?

Staying in childcare after school can be a good thing. It is pretty common for most kids with working parents. It can give the kids access to things to do that they wouldn't otherwise and more social skills.
