Posted this in Gransnet as my sister is a gran and I should imagine there are a lot of 60 year old grans on here.
So my question to all you around that age is ‘what was the best present you received for your birthday?’
I don’t have a huge budget £50/£60 roughly, but am looking for something a bit different. I have looked on Etsy and Not on the High street and have seem nothing that jumps out at me, and to be honest have not been happy with the quality or value for money of some things previously bought off there. Happy to use them though for products recommended.

My sister has a DH, two children in their thirties and two grandchildren. The grandchildren and their mum still live with her, so it is a busy, chaotic household and DSis still does the school runs etc, so has little time to herself.
She enjoys reading and used to like sewing, especially patchwork, but has little time for hobbies these days. She is dieting and doesn’t drink much in the way of alcohol. The house is full of kids stuff and toys, so I don’t think she would appreciate ornaments. Her DH buys her jewellery - I have bought her bits in the past which I have rarely seen her wear.
I’m struggling here, any ideas?

I’m 60 soon and also a granny althoughdon’t have such a busy household as your DSis! I’m currently dropping hints for some lovely Jo Malone bath oil! Also on my list is a crafting weekend to learn something new, a weekend is beyond the budget but you can get some good half day workshops for around £50. Good luck and I’m sure she’ll appreciate whatever gift you buy.
