unwilling grandparent

I dont want to be around my 2 year old grandson, my daughter has asked me to look after him while she has her second child . I live alone and know I will be the looser if she finds someone else to take my place. but that is almost preferable to having to feel so much the outsider when visiting they have so many friends and are so happy I just feel like a miserable old outsider.

My DS is forever saying “love you Grandma”. He’s a young adult now but has always adored seeing my DM (&my DGM when she was still with us).

I would be heartbroken if my DM had stayed away and missed out on having a relationship with my DS because we often had friends visiting. Please speak to your DD about how you are feeling, you will regret not getting close to your GS and the new baby.

Frankly I am terrified of being left alone with him, I hate the noise and the mess but most of all I hate being pushed away by him everyone keeps telling me how wonderful and beautiful he is and dont I absolutely adore him and no I dont !!
