GranMutti · 09/11/2007 08:33

Hello Everyone! What a great idea this is. My DD is a regular MN contributor and I must say that I read her Pre-Natal Group and now her Post-Natal Group and really admire everyone's support of each other. It also has opened my eyes to the concerns that new mums have - my children are now 29 and 24 so it has been quite some time since I was a new Mum. My DGS was born this year and we are totally besotted with him. He is such a calm, contented and happy baby and I am so proud to see my DD being such a fantastic mummy.

Squirrel3 · 09/11/2007 08:33

Hello, I am a grandma to DGS aged 6 and dgd aged 2. Also I am step-grandma to dsgd aged 6 months and dsgs aged just 3 weeks.

I am Mum to dd and ds, step-mum to 2dss's and 2dsd's. So dp and I between us have 6 children and 4 grandchildren, it going to be a bit busy at Christmas but great fun.

All this and I am only 42 21.

Cammelia · 09/11/2007 13:53

Hello all!
I think this is going to be great for all of us grans. My own children have left home and live some way away from us now - an overnight stop anyway. The grandchildren are therefore also miles away! And missing them, all of them, is of course just awful though at the same time you are really proud of how they are leading their lives.!
GranMutti - similar route to you. My daughter got hooked on this site, 2nd dgd born abroad so very important to her to be able to 'talk' to others in same situation. It helped her enormously and now she seems to have good friends on this site who support each other.I am so very proud of her and of her family including my sil and how they are together. This site will be fun and support for us all I think. loobz and hazygirl - so sad to read of your losses. Can't imagine....
I'm now off to start a link on Christmas now as everyone is talking about it!

crystaltip · 11/11/2007 18:56
