What do your DGC call you?

Sorry if this has been done before, I am new here. I am getting my first grandchild next spring and I want some ideas on what to be called, my DH wants to be called Grandad and I want something that goes with that but that is not Grandma.

My dd calls her maternal grandparents Nannie and grandad and paternal gran and grandad and great grandparents whatever we already call them.

Gran and grandad.

Other Gps are nanna and grandad. Mine were always nanna and grandad, but gran was my choice and my gd embraces it😁

Nanna & Pops here

One calls me Nanny
Other 2 call me Nanasue

My DH is Grumps for obvious reasons

My DSS's children call me Nana-JayeAshe

It feels like such a privilege as I would have no GC otherwise.

My parents are Nanna & Grumpy to my little boy (their choice!) it was initially grandpa but grumpy stuck when my son was a few weeks old and now recognises that’s who they are so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Dgs calls me Grandma, his other ones by their first name (?!). My dh is Grumpa!

Ours called dh's parents their Christian names and my df Grandad and his wife her Christian name. If I get a grandchild (looking unlikely) I'd like to be called Granny although ds teases me and says I will be Grandmutt as he calls me mutt/mutty.

My parents are Nanna and Grandad.

My dd has nan and pap and granny and grandad.

I had grandma and grandpa and nan and pap

Dd's children will have three sets of grandparents. I'm sure her dad and step mum will be nan and pap. I think I will be grandma.

My DD and my niece and nephew call my Mum and DD Nana and Grandad. Even my sister and I do now!

• Nanny & first name
• Grandad

DH grew up with Nanny and Grandad (only had contact with 1 side of his family) so it made sense for his parents to use that.

I grew up with Granny & Granda (on both sides of my family) so it made sense for my parents to use that.

It never actually required thought from anyone now that I think about it.

I'm Granmama to my two.

I'm Nanna but I like Jennifer Saunders title, she is Jam Jar to her grandchildren

My daughter is called Jam Pot within the family so I think I should be Jam Jar!!

When he was small my grandson used to call his other grandmother round nannie and me triangle nannie . We have no idea why .
My English DGD now call me nannie and my Welsh ones call me nain .

DH and I are Granny and Grandpa, the other GPs are Grandma and Grandad.
