my dd1 is in the school that is about 3 miles away. we with my dh work from early in the morning, so considering my mum to drop dd1 off to school or my nanny. 2 buses journey is 50 minutes. or 1 underground train + bus - again 50 minutes...what would you choose?

wanted to mention that that school is en route to my work, but as I need to be at wok really early - just after 8.00, I cannot drop him off at school before 8.00. would CM d work - he would leave home at 7.30 to be at CM near school at 7.50 am in the morning? or is it better bus journey - then he woudl leave home at 8.00 am and no CM involved as my mum woudl bring him.

I think that's a hell of an imposition on your Mum and that you should reconsider the school you have chosen. Presumably you'd be wanting your mother to collect him in the afternoon too? V expensive and time consuming to do the journey twice a day. And you'd be confining her to hols in the school hols too - adding to her costs.

Can you find a school/childminder nearer home?
