Classics Outreach programme (Oxford)

My DS1 (Year 3) Has been invited to take part in the Oxford Learning Partnership course 'Chilblains and Semolina: A Critical Reading Master-class'. He's very enthusiastic about it, but as they are charging a fee of £59 I thought I'd ask if anyone here has any experiences of these programmes. The school is not making any financial contribution, but feels that it would benefit DS1. I suppose I'm asking really whether they are worth it? Thanks

Last yr my dd also was told about this scheme and invited to go but we couldn't afford it so went to lots of museums (free) instead with the family.
