My son is very able ag maths
100% in all subjects at SATs
In maths SATs getting 100% chosen to rep school at mathletics

I don't know IQ but I think around 130

Today only he (school year of 120) given an extra very much harder maths paper to do after standard practice maths SATs

I can't seem to find what this is ? Does anyone know

He's doing to state secondary and Maths sept have already been in touch and he'll be in top set and invited to maths competition club etx

Might it have been a junior maths challange? Aimed at y7 and y8?

I remember being put in for advanced extension papers at school is this similar - getting a gauge of where a child is when beyond the GD level?

Past papers can be found here. If he took it in April then it would have been one of the past papers. Primary Maths Challenge is run in November then the top scoring students in the country get invited back for a bonus round in Feb and receive gold/silver/bronze medal if they then score too scores.
