How is everybody doing?

Have things been a bit slow for everyone? Are your schools doing anything with G&T pupils at the moment?

Our secondary school has been ok, with encouraging DS to do some interesting extension work, but everyone is understandably focused on Covid.

Online music lessons have gotten better, but no extra music or sports at school, no clubs etc. Private tuition seems to be ok online.

DS has spent a lot of time online with his friends playing stupid games but he is happy and has a good social group, I was initially worried about loneliness.

How is everyone else doing?

Our primary level DD's school have done a lot of repeat work from last year with a view to catching up the majority of the class. She was bored first time around and even more bored this time.
They were also going to move her up a year for certain classes which now can't happen because of bubbles which hasn't helped.

We were patient first half term as we understood they needed to settle in but we're applying a bit more pressure this half term to make sure she isn't being ignored and her needs are being met.

She is just doing some self directed learning in topics that interest her at home in the meantime.
