Ratings on Books: Help.

My son is 9, he reads a lot, and has always been above reading age. We run out of books for him to read, it's now go to the point where he reads some adult books.
Is there a website or any tools that give some kind of maturity rating on books? For example he's currently reading Edward Rutherfords - New York, I read it years ago and can't remember if there's sex scenes or references in it. He's fine with gore but I really don't want him exposed to any sex references. Any advice really appreciated..

Commonsensemedia.org is quite good for this.

I think their ratings are a bit conservative, but it lists why they've given it that rating (e.g. features romantic kissing) so you can make your own decision based on that.

I'm not sure whether they'll list the books he's reading though if they're from the adult section because I think they only rate stuff that's for children and teens/it's likely children will want to consume.
