Flexible Schooling

Hello

So after a lot of thinking I have decided to try the route of Flexi Schooling my “gifted” child .

Has anyone had experience with this route ?

Have you had your application rejected ?

Was it accepted - If so is there any advice you can give ?

What was the response ?

Do you think it’s worth it ?

( disclaimer - I am really sorry if I have mispelled or made any grammatical mistakes... my child is gifted .... I am not 😂)

I did it informally and it was brilliant. DS2 attendance fell below 50% and they grumbled a bit but overall we had a ball. This was more than 10 years ago and I fear you couldn't do it now. No formal arrangement but I'd just say XXX is going to YYY today, any work to catch up (there never was) and it was fine. I did keep NC Literacy and Maths at my side to make sure they were where they should be. Can't believe we got away with it. And yes, they all got good GCSEs/A levels/degrees etc.
