was it really him or some trickery? If it was him I am in

chopchopbusybusy · 10/06/2007 13:29

Well the adult who painted the picture and then did the clever editing is obviously very gifted.

Very impressive but suspect there is more to this, like coaching/adult out of shot/editing. Even so, is still v. good.

I'm with cod on this without question.

RedLorryYellowLorry · 10/06/2007 13:58

Sorry but I don't believe it - some good editing and acting from dad me thinks!

wheresthehamster · 10/06/2007 14:09

Very good fake.

When you see him at the start he has his finger and thumb extended when painting but it the close-ups he has all his fingers together unnaturally so I think someone is 'working' his hand.

Some comments on youtube are saying although the boy said he wanted to paint Michelangelo he actually did Leonardo. A grown-up's slip-up I think not a child's!

flibbertyjibbet · 10/06/2007 14:13

yes like when people play piano on tv, you never see them AND their fingers working at the same time. Either whole shot with fingers just out of sight or close up of (someone elses) fingers.

spudmasher · 10/06/2007 14:34

Look at the painting at the end. The surface is shiny like a colour photocopy.....tis rhubarb.

Flame · 10/06/2007 14:38

bollocks indeed!

(but a bit that you didn't say bolcolks)

luciemule · 10/06/2007 14:43

hmm - it never actually showed the child from a distance doing it. Just blurry hands!
Not convinced I'm afraid.

Clever editing.

Child goes straight from painting in the blue background to holding up the picture without leaving blue fingerprints at the bottom.

sandcastles · 10/06/2007 16:40

And no paint smeared all up his arms....which surely there would be as he is resting his arms on the pic at the end!

deste · 19/06/2007 22:34

I agree with spudmaster. paint would be dull against the paper not shiny
