DD's never changing targets

DD (y2) is ahead of expected levels for writing. But her target hasn't changed since the beginning of y1.

Would you question this with the teacher or just assume she peaked very early and has now levelled off with progression?

DH and I disagree with what we should/shouldn't do so I said I would ask here

Others have probably caught up. However nothing wrong in going in and asking.

I never know DC targets, I'm fuzzy about those in high school, even!!

I would be concerned that she's progressing steadily and happy in her learning. Targets don't tell me about those things.

Others have probably caught up They probably have, but our concern is that DD doesn't seem to have progressed iyswim. I'm honestly not one of those parents who panic if their child is no longer 'top of the class' and that certainly isn't my issue (honestly!).

Their maths and literacy targets get sent home every other term which is how I know her literacy targets haven't changed.

She is VERY happy at school but I can't see that she is progressing at all steadily if her targets have been the same for nearly 18 months?

I've arranged to speak to her teacher Friday now just to put DH's mind at rest. It was him who was concerned in the first place but the more I think about it the more I think he's probably right to question it.

Thanks for the replies
