My DS age 9 and a half months can already climb the stairs, and has started bouncing a ball! Should he be able to bounce a ball so young?

No - he is clearly a genius !

JoolsToo · 22/06/2006 15:24

climbing stairs at that age isn't unusual.

suzywong · 22/06/2006 15:25

no, he shouldn't
the Precociously Bouncing Ball Police will be paying you a visit PDQ if you don't stamp this behaviour out PDQ

G+T is more education - your ds's fantastic skills are better described under beahviur and development
He sounds like a right handful already! perhaps a future sportstar!

Climbing the stairs and walking at 9 months isnt unheard of and bouncing a ball is quite good. I assume you mean flat handedly bouncing on the spot.

ScummyMummy · 22/06/2006 15:29

Aw don't be mean. I thought mine were the bolleuax at that age. And bouncing a ball sounds v impressive to me. He sounds amazing loopyredangel. Is he your first?

tenalady · 22/06/2006 15:30

got to be her first scummy, only first time mums tell everyone about their kids. I should know

edam · 22/06/2006 15:34

Aw, sounds lovely. Very impressive. It's very exciting when they are tiny and do something completely beyond your expectations like that.

loopyredangel · 22/06/2006 22:03

Yes he is my first! He literally picks the ball up and bounces it on the floor, he is so pleased with himself when he does it, laughs his little head off!
