it's a great article if somewhat scary...

It demonstrate that if you have a child with special abilities the realisation of these abilities depends highly on the parenting! Most people will agree that pushy is wrong, but not encouraging is wrong too!

There is a fine line/a fine balance to achieve which makes parenting talented children a very big challenge.

It's made harder by people assuming you are boasting! It makes it impossible or at the very least awkward to find the answers you need. At the end of the day we all want our children to be happy well integrated human beings. when they have abilities or disabilities that make them stand out it's harder... but the disabilities are easier to talk about than the abilities!
