Do you have any experience of this? And how bright do the children need to be? Does it complement flexi-schooling? Or can it be used well in schools?
I?m looking into subscribing for dd for September when she will starting year 6, as a substitute for flexi ?schooling her, which she doesn?t want to do. Anything to avoid being weird different.
She?s finishing off year 6 coursework now, has just done the year 6 SATs (out of interest on the part of the head I think and will probably get higher marks than the year 6s) and will be doing 11+ in the autumn and after that we expect to have a year where she is under stretched. Have planned extra music lessons and a string ensemble for her, also competitive chess, plenty of performing arts etc etc. I was planning to take her out of school for some activities but she is dead against that, even though her best friends will have all left.
Would the Da Vinci stuff be suitable for working at in school as well as out? Was hoping the teacher could sit her down at the computer for sessions when the class is covering things that aren?t suitable for extension work ...any thoughts?
