DS is Y2 and G&T for maths - he's currently working around Y5 and last year had an IEP for maths and 1 2 1 for at least 30 mins per day. Well chuffed, things seemed to be moving.

Since Sep he's had no IEP, although the teacher did mention he needed one at parents evening in October but she hadn't had chance to do it. He is working with the TA with 2 other children doing appropriate work - what exactly I have no idea.

His homework is woefully easy. He, however, seems happy at school, but i can never really find out what he's doing.

Should I do anything, or just leave it be do you think?

He's with the TA for probably 20 mins per session, 3 to 4 times per week. The other kids are the brightest in the class - no idea of their actual level but they are def above average.

My understanding is when he isn't with the TA he's just doing the same work as the rest of the class - he's never given stuff to do on his own.

His previous IEP didn't impress me much - just 1 page about a specific topic he was covering about learning about appropriate graphical representations and what he should have learnt by the end - it was never updated to show whether he achieved it either.

Have decided having written this post to have a chat with his teacher and ask if the IEP is going to be in place and can I see it.

Thanks for your reply
