I think they make you have a docs note no matter what your BMI ( I did lighter life....managed 5 days before I wanted to commit suicide)

thanks northernchick.

Dh is wanting to do it.... tbh there is no other option (his words not mine..).
He is at the stage where he needs to make drastic changes himself before they are made for him iykwim.

He has had an email today from the ll consultant and seems he does need to see his gp. He's working away alot atm so I suggested seeing his gp on mon, making him aware of his intentions and ask him to complete the form without him iykwim.

At least things can get moving.

I know what you mean about wanting to commit suicide doing it..Think dh is prepared for how hard it will be. Im doing ww having got about 1 stone left and having lost about 3 stone in total, i just wish dh could be at the stage I am now..

Hols in 4 weeks time and I think its now D day..

It is incredibly hard, as you are opting out of eating at all for 14 weeks. NO FOOD of any description!!! and only water to drink. All your nutrition is from the shakes they give you that are just flavoured water ( not shakes at all) they have vitamins etc but not much more! Its hell!!!
You are sooooooo hungry you want to die!!! But they tell you this is good!!! It makes going out and meals a bit of a problem and you just cant eat anything, so if you get invited out or want a family meal, you cant join in. I found it too difficult to do, I was misreable and hungry and my family make me give up cos i was making them misreable too!!!!
i hope he lasts longer than I did!!!

so do I northern.....

I think he wants to do drastic for the next 4 weeks before hols then take it up afeter hols. Tbh i have never seen dh so determined (he is as you mentioned above..but prior to diet ) and I hope he succeeds. As you mentioned he is a nightmare atm so guess on the diet will be the same but hopefully with the loss.
Im hoping to support him as much as possible.

it is a BMI of 30... or you need it also if BMI is under 30 and you have some other health problems

I'm doing LL Lite at the moment (my BMI was 29.9!!!) and once he starts and gets into it he won't take a break! So far have lost 1 st in 4 weeks 5 days. Your Dh will lose it faster if he's bigger or on LL total (Only for BMI over 30).

Make sure he finds a good councellor, it does really help.

BTW I haven't found it that hard... you do get quite hungry on about day 4/5 but that does pass and am on my 5th week with every intention of doing about another 10 weeks.

I have found out last week another friend is doing the LL total and has lost 3 stone so far in about 14 weeks... she looks fabulous.
