I have to say that really, no they dont, its uncomfortable but not agonising, they should give you aneedle in your gum to make your mouth numb anyway.

must add however ( how big and brave am i???) that i find the needle uncomfortable and hate my mouth being numb for ages after so i dont have the anesthetic, and it still doesnt hurt.

relax you will be ok.

Thank you! I was dreading even reading the replies in case they said it is worse than labour! I am a terrible baby when it comes to pain, or even the idea of pain, so you have reassured me loads!
