Repair surgery-did it work?

I am wondering how successful surgery is for women who have had surgery for prolapse. There isn't too much on this site. Perhaps its that surgery has worked so well these women get back to normal and no longer feel the need to post?

I don't have personal experience of this but a friend of mine had hers done more than once; she had a ring put in (or something, I'm vague on the details) but it needed re-doing twice.

Try this website for more info - although it's American I expect it will be fairly similar to the UK outcomes.

Had my op in May and I was told the success rate was 75%. My checkup isn't till December.
Seems fine so far........

I had the op almost 20 years ago.

Didn't have incontinence but uterus dropped a bit- was classed as mild.

Has not stayed as high as just after op but glad I had it done. he also tightened up front wall and back wall.

I had repair last Sept and TVT sling fitted
to stop leakage during the night as i was up to the loo 3/4 times and sometimes couldnt
make it, it seems to have made a great improvement to the night time, but I must be truthful and say that during the day I must
be aware of where the nearest loo is,my specialist was fantastic and was realistic
telling me that it would not be 100% but I would say 75% successful,iI must admit it took a long time to recover and get back to normal. There is a site for TVT on line and gives fab details
