Steroids and eyesight

This morning I was given a boost of steroids for my psoriatic arthritis, the first in a few years. A few hours later I find that my eyesight has improved, to the extent that wearing my regular contact lenses makes me feel a bit sea sick and my glasses from 3 years ago (more than an eyesight unit different) seem to be better than my current ones. This is really unusual for me and can only really be down to the steroids.

Has anyone else had this happen? Does it suggest an underlying eye condition that would respond to steroid treatment? I do have 3 other inflammatory illnesses, so would not be much of a stretch but none of my specialists nor optician have ever suggested it. Finally, who should I tell - I can hardly rock up to the GP because my eyesight has got better and I only really go to a high street shop sort of optician.
