Ovulation - not ttc, just a general question

...for those of you who roughly know when you're ovulating.

Am I the only person who gets horrendous ovulation symptoms? I have spoken to friends about this and they say that ovulation is 'the best time of the month' for them. they feel at their slimmest and calmest and most full of energy.

For me, it is worse than PMT. It's like a cross between early pregnancy and PMT, in fact. I have an achy lower abdomen, very sore breasts, feel nauseous, very short tempered and just completely off-key. This has only happened since the birth of my second child a couple of years ago.

Is this normal?

It varies. I get period pain type aches sometimes. Sometimes I have mood changes, but it's hard to tell whether that's hormones or general stress.
