Feeling 'run down' after virus. How can I boost my immune system?

Currently getting over really nasty cough and cold virus during which I have had a sore throat, temperature, hacking cough. I am still feeling the after effects and we are on day 7 now.

I have been taking Floradix to try and support my recovery. Any other suggestions?

I have a day surgery op coming up in July and would like to try and be in better health by then!

The 'natural' route is often a good one. Supplements have a place but seriously bump up your intake of vitamin-rich fresh fruits and vegetables... especially the more dense ones like kiwifruit and other berries. Team these up with rich sources of iron and B-vitamins as both will give your immune system a shot in the arm. Gentle exercise and plenty of rest are also a good way to shake off the post-viral slump

That's how I feel!!

Picked up a nasty cold virus on the plane coming home from hols 10 days ago and been ill ever since. Every time I think I'm getting over it, something whacks me back down. I've had sore throat, lost my voice, fever, general cold symptoms and now it's in my sinuses

I'm a big fan of echinacea, vit c and zinc, but have also upped my intake of fruit and veg. Try and get as many different colours as you can. Oh and lots of water, particularly if you're suffering with your sinuses like me.

I'm meant to be going to a yoga class tonight, but thinking this isn't such a good idea with painful sinuses!!
