PMT while ovulating?

JackBauerDeservedAHappyEnding · 13/06/2010 16:01

I know I am not due on, I have a coil so pretty sure I am not pregnant but every month when I am ovulating (going by dates and stomach cramps) I get horrible PMT type symptons.
yesterday I burst into tears 3 times for no real reason and yelled at DD's (they were trying it on, but still)

Does anyone else get this or am I a medical marvel?

Generally PMT symptoms can start upto 2 weeks before your period which is around ovulation time so yes it's totally possible. I went to the dr last week because for 2 weeks out of every month I feel like i'm on a different planet with PMT.

My dr prescribed me Citralopam however I have to wait a few weeks to take it because i'm on other new meds for an inner ear disorder and the gp needs to see if I have any side effects from these before I start something else. incidently PMT makes the inner ear thing worse too because of the fluid levels and water retention so the week before my period I am also dizzy as hell. Nice.

Ugh, sounds 'fun' ledodgy.
Worth a trip to GP then? I have applied to go back to uni in september and since having dd2 I can barely cook and clean the house for a week out of 4. It does almost feel as if I am depressed again.
Just feels a bit self indulgent to go to docs for something so 'normal'
Or am I being a twat?

No go to the docs. Seriously I have been a nutter for at least 1 week out of 4 if not 2 for years and have only just gone. Mine has got alot worse as i've got older though. Last week I kept waking up crying and one day I had a horrible impending feeling of doom and whilst the rational part of me knew it was just PMT I tend not to listen to the rational part when I'm in the middle of the brain fog iyswim. I started taking Oil of Evening Primrose today as that has helped me in the past.

I think I will. Just spoken to DH (he's at work) and he says I'm not that bad.
WHich means I am!
It is the impending doom fog, i know exactly what you mean, shall call tomorrow. Ugh. Bloody periods, when's menopause again?
