Pretty sure I have a perforated eardrum - should I go to gp?

DH did it by accident with one of those head massager thingys . But it has been bleeding a little bit on and off since it happened on thurs night. I haven't been yet because everything I read on internet suggesting there's nothing that can be done about it anyway and it will heal in it's own time. It doesn't hurt now and my hearing is buggered anyway (I wear hearing aids).

What did you do? I'd phone NHS Direct for advice.

Aw thanks for replying, cantsupinate! I'm going to the docs tomorrow, although it seems to have stopped bleeding now - I left my hearing aid out of the ear all day today and that seems to have helped stopped the bleeding, means I can hardly hear a thing though.
