need advice after lletz

I had Lletz 5 weeks ago under GA and tbh it was better than i expected - tired and crampy but okay. I have come on my period 3 days ago and the intensity of the pain and bleeding was unreal. Went to docs who gave mefenamic acid to help pain and stop bleeding. Really effective at stopping bleed and good pain relief though only for a couple of hours. Except now I feel incredibly swollen inside "down there" and the pain is still pretty severe but the doc seemed very nonplussed by this when i discussed it (was given no intimate examination). Anyone know cause/cure? and should I pester them again or try to put up with it?

I would go back to the gp's and ask for an examination, it could be an infection even 5 weeks later, having myself just had 2 lettz treatments in the last 3 months, last one being on monday it has been drilled into me about infection ect. Hope you feel better soon.

Thankyou, having been up most of the night crying I'm in no state for work - the pain really is pretty bad so I think you must be right with infection theory. Will try to get an appointment today and ask for proper exam rather than them talking fast and shipping me out.
