Hi, anyone had this? My GP says I do...I have had bleeding after intercourse and irregular bleeding. Before I am due on I seem to lose an awful lot of blood. I am seeing a gyne next week. Just wanted to know other people's experience of having this and what if any treatment you've been offered.
Thanks in advance
Bee

I've had this during both my pregnancies, causing some fairly spectacular bleeding! I also had it when on the contraceptive pill, it is quite common and (apart from worrying me when pregnant) isn't associated with health issues.

Hello, Ive had this as well. Diagnosed at age 20 (had been having bleeding after sex for about a year). The gynae said it was almost certainly due to the pill (came of it and it has never returned- am now 36).

I had 'cauterization' which proved 100% effective. However I had no anaesthetic or sedation and I am going to be honest I found it rather painful.

Not sure why this happened, suspect it was just crap care as my mum and several of my friends have had treatment and had it done under anaesthetic!

Also got an infection afterwards which is apparently quite common but very easily avoidable with some cream you apply with a pessary.

Overall though well woth getting treated due to the inconvenience of post coital bleeding.
