Ear Wax, sorry tmi

Yet again my left ear has blocked up again and yet again I face having to have my ears syringed.

I have narrow ear canals and over zealous wax production (sorry if tmi) and really fed up with it. I have to have them cleaned out about every year

I was wondering if that otex or earex stuff is any good?

I try to remember to use olive oil on a regular basis to keep things moving, as it were, but I still seem to wind up seeing the nurse (Who reminds me of Matron off Carry on Doctor!!)

Have you heard of ear candling? Google it if you haven't!
I have heard it's very good.

Be careful of ear candling:

"Ear candling also should be avoided. Ear candling is a practice in which a hollow candle is inserted into the external auditory canal and lit, with the patient lying on the opposite ear. In theory, the combination of heat and suction is supposed to remove earwax. However, in one trial, ear candles neither created suction nor removed wax and actually led to occlusion with candle wax in persons who previously had clean ear canals. Primary care physicians may see complications from ear candling including candle wax occlusion, local burns, and tympanic membrane perforation."[13]

I have used Otex when my ear became suddenly blocked; it cleared it in about 48 hours. I don't know if this is the same thing that you have but it's worth a try if it bothers you.
