Itchy mole

I'm just after some feedback from those who may know really.

I've made an appointment to see a Dr on Friday about a mole on my leg that has become itchy. It's a small mole, regular shape, does not look discoloured and hasn't changed in appearance. It isn't in an area that sees sunlight. If I touch the mole itself it feels quite tender too. It's not itchy all the time, it hasn't really bothered me today actually.

Has anyone had any experience of this? I'm a little worried about wasting the GP's time (which I know is silly), but the mole looks so normal that I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it, but when it is itchy it niggles me and I think I should have it checked.

Does it rub on trousers at all?

I only ask as I went to GP with a mole that was driving me mad - but it was being aggravated by my waistband. Made it go rough/scabby. Gp said "pick it off"! and it has never returned

Never worry about showing your GP a mole. If it was like mine, you are in & out within 2 mins, your GP gets to catch up time they are always loosing, you get reassured or investigated if necessary, and it is noted onyour records to compare against future notes if needed.
