i have had toothache for the past few nights, which seems to wear off in the morning, and come back again at night. I have my final wisdon tooth which has been trying to breakthrough for about 18 months, but it is the tooth next to it that has a feeling of pressure. does it mean something grim is happening? In fatc, the wholeo f the bottm row on that side feels uncomfortable

I'm pretty sure I grind my teeth at night as my face feels really tense when i wake up in the night.

BTW, it's not as easy as popping along to my dentist, i have an extreme fear. I havent been for 18mo due to pg and bf, as i have to take valium.

any ideas?

I think this may be due to jaw clenching and grinding your teeth - I had this and thats what my dentist said! No real solution though.... aside from trying to relax

Has your wisdom tooth come through at all? - is it possible it is impacted, this would push against the neighbouring tooth and make it hurt. I appreciate what you say about your phobia, it must make it very hard for you, probably they would need to take some x-rays to see whats' happening, which would not hurt, - do you need valium just to attend, or only when you have treatment?

ahem , i need it just to get through the door. it could feasibly be that, kurri, as its points seem to be at an odd angle. all that is through are two points, right next to the tooth IYSWIM

oh bugger, i'm going to have to go, aren't I? she is absolutely lovely but I just hate it.

I think you do have to really, or else you will be in pain. No need to lots of people have fear of dentists, nothing to be ashamed of at all.

thanks kurri. i am glugging down my wine even thinking about it. am really hoping it might be from grinding, as spotted says
