I am 12 weeks today and I went to my doctor last wednesday as I have been suffering with Thrush for nearly 2 weeks now! I was using Canestan Thrush cream but it wasn't really making it any better so the doctor prescribed Gyno-daktarin cream. I used this cream with the insertion applicater once during the week but i have not used it again as i was reading up about on the net and im not sure if it is safe to use when pregnant!? I am worried now that it might harm my baby as i am only in the early stages of pregnancy...

I am 28 weeks 3rd baby and have had thrush on and off seems to be related to how tired I am, and on the odd day that I have sex it gets really bad. I have just been eating lot's of natural yougurt and it eases the symptoms. I am seeing MW this week and will ask if I can take anything else. Sorry this is not much help!!

I used the canesten pessary during pregnancy. On the leaflet it just said to be careful not to insert the applicator too high or you could use your finger.

p.s. from googling the one you are using says to use with caution in the first trimester and only if the benefits seem to outweigh the risks. I would maybe see if they can prescribe one that is safer while pregnant.
