Hospital spectacle frames

This may be a little vain, but here goes.

I have been told I need to have glasses under the hospital eye service, done by their optometry service in-house.

Does anyone know if they tend to have an ok range of frames? (compared to high street).

yes, the hospital optometry department have a good selection.

if there is nothing you like, you may well be able to take a copy of your prescription to the high street.

We had the choice with DD2. Either hospital opticians or high street. We went high street only because it was easier for when DD2 broke them! (as she has on numerous occasions... 3yrs old when she first got glasses)

Thanks DanJARMouse, that's good to know!

Unfortunately I'm looking at very complex lenses; they've already said no chance of High Street for testing (which I knew) or dispensing.
