when to do chickenpox jab after mmr?

anyone know when i should send dd for chickenpox vax if she's just had the mmr last month? is it a month after? is that the safe waiting period?

Bumping this for you, I think the minimum is 6 weeks? but I'm sure you will get others on who know more. We have elected to do a more extended schedule for ds.

The potential problem comes from research showing that if you catch mumps and chickenpox in the same year (wild this is) then you are more likely to become autistic. That was published- will dig out the paper if I have time later.

Unpublished research however seems to suggest that catching (wild) chickenpox close to the time of the MMR does not increase your risk for autism. Initially it looked as if the evidence would point the other way, but think it ended up not being significant.
