Hi there,
I'm looking for some help please.
I'm sorry that this might be a long post.....
I gave birth to my baby daughter almost 6 months ago and it was a mid cavity forceps delivery and so I was weak and anaemic afterwards.
At my 6 week check, I highlighted that my pulse was very low, I felt weak and tired and the GP said my pulse was fine and Blood pressure was ok (Probably because I felt anxious being there).
Since then I have continued to feel very tired and can go to bed early ie after 8pm and still wake up shattered the next morning.
My pulse can sit in the 40s and 50s most of the day and I feel achy, cold and have recently had a cold/flu like illness on top of it all.
I'm constantly starving and I started Weight Watchers in February and lost very quickly 2 and a half stones. In the past few weeks, I've lost nothing and the weight seems to be creeping back on a bit.
I went to the GP on Friday and all I could get was an appointment with the nurse who asked me what I wanted to do about it?!? How insensitive. I do suffer from generalised anxiety disorder and have done for many years and it seems that every time I go and see about a legitimate health issue, they relate it back to this or assume I am being neurotic. I'm currently pretty stable as regards the anxiety and I am also a nurse with many years experience.
Any help and advice and experiences greatly received.
I cannot get an appointment now until the end of next week to see an actual GP and then I will probably have to wait for blood tests and the like if he decides to believe me. My husband is thinking of coming along with me so I am not palmed off again.
