I have mild asthma and used to have hayfever

this morning I suddenly had an allergice reaction - came on very suddenly - very bad asthma, itching all over, coughing, runny nose, hives etc

I took some piriton and took my ventolin and slowly it all calmed down

the only trigger i can think of is a new brand of nurofen I took a few minutes earlier for the banging headache I woke up with

is there any point going to see my GP? i doubt it would be worth doing any tests and i have all the stuff here that i need (piriton and ventolin)

but it was rather scary how quickly and severely it came on...
