If you are sedated during a procedure, how do you keep your mouth open?

I was sedated - it was great! They put something in your mouth while sedating you - like a plastic thing... feels similar to when they do an x-ray. Not hurt, no issue with it.
Hope it goes ok

sedation is usually mild enough that the patient can follow instructions , like "open a little wider please".

If someone becomes too sleepy we put in a little mouthprop as described above
