hello wise mumnetters,
i need your advices on the following matter a lot and i would be really grateful.
i am having dental problems since middle of february.
i have a bridge which i had to have because of a dentist error years ago during canal treatment. i have quite nice teeth but he messed it up.
this year in february i felt pain around that area and went to a dentist who we usually went for my child.
he took x-ray and said there is infection there, gave antibiotics which i used afterwards but pain didn't go away.
he wasn't able to take the x-ray of the very behind tooth under the bridge.
anyway, i heard some stories about that dentist and searched for another one which i found quite far away from where we live.
at end of february i went there, i was happy with the treatment, he was able to take the x-ray of all tooth covered by bridge.
he said there is infection at a place near the near of very back tooth under bridge.
he said they can't do it in their place and they referred me to a dental hospital.
they said it would take 7 weeks to have them invite me for treatment.
around near end of march i gave them a call, the hospital said they haven't got a referral.
dental practice spoke to hospital, after some wait, i had another x-ray taken at that dentist which is far away as i said before.
this time we were sure no problem would arise.
but i haven't received any letter again and rang the hospital.
the young lady on the phone said, they have received the referral but there is no x-ray with it.
i rang back my dentist, they haven't rang me back yet.
i am so shocked and upset and feeling so helpless.
i am not able to use that side of my teeth when eating for a long time now.
not knowing how to sort this problem out is making me so upset.
-what can i do?
-how can i have a treatment urgent, because i waited so long and having pain?
-how and why is this happenning?
maybe the first referral is lost, how they cannot have the x-ray and have the referral letter which are sent together in the second time.
thank you in advance.
