Sinus infection with noise sensitivity in ears - any tips how to relieve the ears??

I have another sinus infection, most of the time I get pain in my eustation (sp) tube and I grin and bear it and plod on, but every now and then it makes my ears sensitive to sound and its awful. As in its really uncomfortable and I nave become a real grouch if anyone dares speak above a whisper.

Anyone got any pearls of wisdom to get over this quicker, or to ease it. Last time it happened I suffered a week.

I am on antibiotics and flixanase nose spray.

Many thanks

Steam. Excellent for clearing clogged ear/nose/throat tubes. Assuming you don't have a home sauna (!) run your shower on hot for 10 minutes and sit in your bathroom with the door shut breathing in the steam. Or sit under a towel with your head over a bowl of very hot water and a few drops of Olbas Oil for as long as you can bear. As I discovered once, overuse of decongestant nasal sprays actually makes the problem worse. I now swear by steam

@sweetchillidip did this ever calm down or did you need sinus surgery?
